Maryland is the home of a burgeoning ecosystem of research, prototype development, testing, and manufacturing of automated vehicles and their underlying systems. With the highest concentration of aerospace engineers in the country, neighbor to the nation’s capital and several decades of experience in the development of automated systems; Maryland is at the forefront of automated vehicle policy, commercialization, and integration. Maryland provides an environment for automated vehicles operating in any domain to thrive, with 2 sites for UAS R&D, more than 3,000 miles of coastline and close coordination among partnering State agencies, to enable emerging technologies to assimilate into our roadways. New York State is the hub for uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) in the United States. The robust and collaborative ecosystem in Upstate New York is comprised of businesses, academia and government agencies whose sole purpose is to advance the UAS industry in New York State. New York is home to GENIUS NY, the world’s largest accelerator for UAS startups, and to date has invested more than $15 million into 26 companies. New York has a first-of-its-kind 50-mile uncrewed traffic management (UTM) corridor for the testing, research, development, and advancement of UAS. The 50-mile UTM corridor and the New York UAS Test Site, one of only seven FAA-designated UAS Test Sites in the country, are a part of the capabilities that make this region a global leader for the UAS industry. New York State provides incentives to companies relocating to Upstate New York, making it the leading UAS destination in the U.S.

The Virginia Pavilion, hosted by The Virginia Unmanned Systems Center at VIPC is in the business of connecting innovators with opportunities. The Pavilion features some of the nation's leading corporate and educational innovators in unmanned systems for Air, Land, Sea and Space. Virginia is one of only 7 states with an approved FAA and DOT test facility for the development and testing of unmanned systems for the national airspace and roadways.
