Description

In 2016, AUVSI convened a leading group of experts at XPONENTIAL to begin a dialogue exploring how Federal, state, and local authorities and regulations intersect to advance (or impede) widespread deployment of commercial UAS. This session will continue that discussion one year later featuring presenters who will discuss the Federal Aviation Administration’s preemption authority, privacy considerations and developments including the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s multi-stakeholder group on UAS privacy, and the regulatory issues that arise from the different roles and responsibilities of Federal, state, and local actors.
