Frequently Asked Questions

AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2021 is now an expanded hybrid event series, incorporating virtual and in-person experiences to support our mission to convene the unmanned and automated systems community and accelerate innovation and market adoption. This new approach will allow us to continue offering the most comprehensive and relevant sessions on tech and policy developments, while hosting the leading marketplace for B2B connections and transactions.

What is XPONENTIAL 2021?

AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2021 is the global stage for all things unmanned — from modeling and simulation, sensors, energy storage and UAS mitigation solutions to what is coming over the horizon in AI/ML, 5G, edge computing and more.

As the largest, most significant event for the unmanned systems industry, you’ll explore the latest technology innovations, develop new perspectives as you hear from industry luminaries and have opportunity to network (in-person and virtually!) with the most influential leaders in unmanned systems and autonomy.

When does the event take place?

The series kicks off May 4-6 with an immersive virtual conference, featuring live keynotes and education, interactive roundtable discussions and networking sessions, and exhibits from leading tech companies and service providers. All sessions will be recorded and available on-demand to attendees, so you won’t miss a single minute of the industry’s best content!

On August 16-19, the series will reconvene in-person in Atlanta for an all-new slate of keynote speakers and educational sessions, safely facilitated networking opportunities, and an expanded XPO Hall where you will experience the latest tech innovations and solutions first-hand. And full conference registration for the in-person event will also include total access to the virtual event!

Where will the in-person event take place?

The in-person event will take place August 16-19, 2021 at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The event will take place in Building C of the GWCC, located at 285 Andrew Young International Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30313.

Which Time Zone is used for session times?

All times listed on the agenda are in the Eastern Time Zone.

How is the virtual event different from a webinar?

While a webinar-style presentation may be part of a virtual event, a virtual event provides attendees with a variety of content options and opportunities for direct interaction with other participants.

A webinar is a topic-specific seminar or other presentation, usually between 30 – 90 minutes, that takes place on the Internet, allowing participants in different locations to see and hear the presenter(s), ask questions, and sometimes answer polls.

A virtual event features an agenda of topic-specific sessions that take place either sequentially or concurrently over the course of a day or days, as well as virtual product exhibits and one-to-one chatrooms for scheduled and organic networking with other attendees. Participants in different locations can see and be seen, hear and be heard, and engage directly with other attendees, speakers, and exhibitors based on their interests. All sessions are professionally produced to optimize content for attendees and Individual sessions throughout the agenda may be held in the style of a webinar, an interactive videoconference, or small group discussions.
