XPONENTIAL 2016 offers an abundance of educational sessions designed to meet your needs. Whether you have an extra few minutes in the Expo Hall to participate in an Ask the Expert session, or if you have a planned agenda including numerous panels and workshops, you’ll find all of the content you need at the event. And to help you navigate more than 100 educational sessions, we’ve streamlined the online program to make attending this year’s sessions easier than ever. 2016 Session Types
The morning General Sessions at XPONENTIAL are inspiring gatherings of innovative leaders who are determined to reshape our world with the spread and integration of unmanned systems into countless aspects of our lifestyles, economies and national security paradigms. These individuals have demonstrated their determination to unlock human potential with unmanned systems across all domains. The XPONENTIAL 2016 General Sessions are your opportunity to hear from top echelon leaders from all aspects on the unmanned systems industry.
This one-stop-shop for industry information is the place to connect with the industry’s top thought leaders and subject matter experts! Located in the Exhibition Hall, the Hub is home to the Beyond the Booth Showcase, technical poster presentations, Special Interest Sessions, Ask the Expert sessions and our student competitors and the AUVSI Foundation.
The technically focused Poster Presentations offer the opportunity to have one on one dialogue with authors of some of the latest research happening in unmanned systems and robotics.
Special Interest Sessions
The Special Interest Stage is home to informative and engaging sessions and addressed important industry issues. This feature provides complimentary educational sessions to all registered attendees.
Ask the Expert Sessions
Have a burning question on a specific facet of the unmanned systems industry? Then stop by the Answer Bar inside the Innovation Hub. Here you will find experts willing to answer your questions in a variety of areas – from airspace access to sensor advancements and much more. This is your opportunity to engage with experts in an informal setting.
Beyond the Booth Showcase
The Beyond the Booth Showcase features the latest new product releases and partnership opportunities from exhibiting companies. These presentations are carefully selected and curated by AUVSI to provide attendees with the best exhibitor content and valuable industry insights.
In-depth presentations offered in 12 focused technical tracks offer the latest technology research advancements being made by the industry’s leading companies, academic institutions and government agencies. Technical sessions are offered Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning. All technical session presenters submit papers supporting their research for inclusion in the conference proceedings.
These 30-minute presentations span a variety of technology, regulatory and market developments with scopes outside of this year’s technical program. Non-technical sessions are offered each afternoon on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Hands-on, focused workshops provide attendees with relevant and applicable updates on the most pressing challenges and significant advancements in unmanned systems. These half and full-day sessions are a hybrid of formal lectures and collaborative discussions, specially designed to address the issues that are most critical to attendees. Workshops are offered on a range of topics as diverse as the unmanned systems community itself!
Panel discussions gather experts and innovators for related individual presentations and moderated Q&A discussions. These sessions provide panelists with a platform on which to share their insights and expertise and give attendees the opportunity to ask questions of industry leaders. The diverse collection of panelists in each session provides a well-rounded perspective and makes for lively discussion!
This new in 2016 offering is an innovative way to foster meaningful exchanges of ideas, sharing of experiences, voicing of concerns and important networking. Discussion groups are small gatherings of like-minded individuals who are interested in first-hand conversations with their peers. While the size of these groups lends itself to informal collaboration, all discussion groups will be facilitated by an industry leading expert to keep the dialogue focused and productive.
