Kevin Adkins

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University


Dr. Kevin Adkins holds bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering, along with advanced coursework in physics and atmospheric science. He is presently a professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and teaches courses across the College of Aviation and College of Engineering. Professor Adkins’ research interests include unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and their applications, boundary layer meteorology, aircraft flight test, and fluid mechanics. Dr. Adkins is presently involved in using UAS and numerical methods to analyze changes to near-surface meteorology, integrating UAS into precision agriculture, and UAS flight test. Prior to coming to Embry-Riddle, Kevin spent over a decade in engineering industry and served as both an aircraft system design and lead flight test engineer..
