Profile

Dr. Leah J. Rowe is a Senior Research Psychologist at the Air Force Research Laboratory. She leads innovations in training research for the 711th Human Performance Wing, Airman Systems Directorate, Warfighter Readiness Research Division. Dr. Rowe serves as the Science and Technology (S&T) Advisor for the Continuous Learning and Performance Assessment Branch. In her role as S&T advisor she leads more than 80 researchers, engineers, and subject matter experts in training effectiveness research. Additionally, Dr. Rowe is the Program Manager for the Adaptive Live Virtual Constructive for Enhanced Warfighter Readiness program valued at more than $100M. Dr. Rowe and her team execute research in performance evaluation, team training, team coordination, instructional design, and quantifying the impact of training interventions. She received her M.S. in Applied Psychology and Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her research interests include training, readiness, effectiveness metrics and methods, instructional design theory, knowledge acquisition, team training, and performance measurement. Dr. Rowe is a member of the American Psychological Association, Military Psychology, and the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology.
