Philip Kwong is the Satellite Networks Development Manager for Intelsat General Corporation (IGC), a subsidiary of Intelsat, the world’s first globalized network, with a focus on unmanned, rotary, and ground systems as well as the Intelligence Community.
Prior to joining IGC, Phil was with the Defense Intelligence Agency where he established and ran the Defense Intelligence VSAT Network (DIVN) – DIA’s global SATCOM program that won the DIA Director’s Agency Team Award. Phil also served as the Deputy Program Manager and then the Program Manager for the Joint Worldwide Communications System (JWICS) – the U.S. Government’s Top Secret Internet.
Phil is a combat veteran and retired from the Army after 20 years of service.
Phil graduated Magna Cum Laude in Government from the University of San Francisco. He also has his Masters of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University and is a Federal Certified CIO accredited by the National Defense University.
