Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge (DPAIC) Kevin R. Hecht oversees operations support at the Nogales Station in the Tucson Sector, the largest station on the Southwest Border.
DPAIC Hecht entered on duty with the U.S. Border Patrol on January 5, 1995. His first duty assignment as a Border Patrol agent was at the Nogales Station in the Tucson Sector.
In October 2001, he promoted to Supervisory Border Patrol Agent at the Nogales Station, where he oversaw the field training unit and checkpoint operations. In October 2001 he promoted to Field Operations Supervisor Nogales Station overseeing fleet, budget, property, public affairs, technology, and the liaison to Office of Information and Technology. In January 2011, he became an Acting Assistant Patrol Agent in Charge at the Nogales Station, where he managed the operations support programs at the Nogales Station.
DPAIC Hecht is a United States Border Patrol and the Tucson Sector subject matter expert on illicit cross border tunnels. He was instrumental in developing the strong relationships with the Government of Mexico in the area of bi-national tunnel investigations and bi-national storm drainage patrols.
