Lei Zhu



Dr. Lei Zhu is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado, working in NREL’s Mobility, Behavior, and Advanced Powertrains Group. His research areas include Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) system, transportation energy and fuel economy, traffic network modeling and traffic simulation, traffic demand management and activity pattern recognition, GIS in Transportation and GPS, graph theory and transportation road network, traffic big data, etc. Lei is a young member of Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Geographic Information Science and Applications. Prior to joining NREL, Lei have worked as a research engineer in metropia Inc from 2012 to 2015. Lei also worked in DynusT lab as a graduate research assistant and got his PhD degree from University of Arizona in the end of 2014.
