Hitesh Hurkchand

Hitesh Hurkchand is a public health professional with over 15 years of experience working on global health programs. He is the convener and chair of the Interagency Supply Chain Group (ISG), that is a coalition of fifteen major supply chain actors responsible for financing and strengthening the various components of the public health supply chain in low to middle income countries. He is currently working with ISG partners to establish mechanisms to better coordinate around UAV investments, both globally and in countries. Hitesh also worked with the RMNCH Trust Fund (UN Commission for Life Saving Commodities) where he oversaw the Supply Chain Portfolio of investments across 23 countries. Hitesh is a native of South Africa where he worked for JSI, managed the country office and oversaw all local and Southern African regional projects, before moving to the United States. He has a degree in human and experimental physiology and a graduate degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He resides in New York City and supports the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby Team.
