Profile

Lieutenant Colonel Mark Jacobsen is an Active Duty Air Force officer and Program Manager at the Defense Innovation unit: Experimental (DIUx). At DIUx he founded and leads Rogue Squadron, a rapid prototyping team that delivers UAS/C-UAS capabilities to warfighters worldwide. He simultaneously serves as a Professor of Strategy and Security Studies at the Air Force's School of Advanced Air & Space Studies (SAASS). He previously flew the C-17A Globemaster III, led air mobility operations at the Squadron level, studied Arabic at the Defense Language Institute, served as an Olmsted Scholar in Jordan, and completed his PhD in Political Science at Stanford University.
