  • TASE Training Courses

    Operators Training Course: This comprehensive course teaches the technical aspects of operating an EO/IR gimbal utilizing our Viewpoint software. Students will be introduced to infrared theory and how to interpret infrared imagery. The course focuses on how to use Viewpoint to manipulate & improve the image through camera controls. Additionally, students will be learn how to operate various gimbal modes for tracking objects, locating targets at specific locations, monitoring stationary structures and how to integrate the moving map into gimbal operation. *Three Day Training Program up to 12 students

    Advanced Operator’s Course: This course builds on our 3-day operator’s course by teaching ViewPoint Integrator settings and configurations and how to use them to clear or diagnose faults. Additional course objectives include system bench top set up, gimbal programming and preventative maintenance procedures.  *Two Days and the basic course is a prerequisite for all students up to 4 students

    System Check and Ops Training: Ensure your Tactical Flight Operator (TFO) or Mission Payload Operator (MPO) is prepared to command a mission from preflight through landing. This training includes a complete system check out, optimization and is tailored to meet your mission requirements. Three day up to 4 students

    Surrogate Flight Module: Want more time operating a gimbal under actual flight conditions? Receive additional hours of gimbal operation under the supervision of a Cloud Cap instructor. The flight for this module is based out of Hood River, Oregon. Please inquire about customized options available (customer vehicle, location, gimbal). *One day up to 4 students

    Piccolo Training Courses

    PCC Training Course: Introduction to the Piccolo software where students learn Piccolo install procedures, Sim startup, PCC overview, flight plan building, loss communications logic, configuration management, validation procedures, autopilot modes, abort logic and mission checklist procedures. 5 day up to 30 Students

    Basic Flight Training: Students learn how to assemble the Air Vehicle, complete the weight & balance procedures, ensure proper center of gravity (CG) fueling procedures, aircraft preflight procedures, logbook procedures, mission brief, GCS preflight, system power up procedures, mission checklist, engine starting procedures, taxi procedures, manual flight control, autonomous flight control, airspace management, system shutdown procedures, post flight actions, solo check ride. 4 weeks up to 3 students

    Advanced flight Training: Students learn how to operate outside of the local airspace including mission planning, departure procedures, loss communications flight planning, vehicle tracking, target identification, mission data collection, emergency procedures, arrival procedures, post flight data processing. 2 weeks up to 3 students

    PCC Refresher: This course is typically offered to experienced PCC operators who are out of currency or have had limited PCC training. During this course the students are expected to have at least basic knowledge of PCC and get a full review of PCC, flight plan building, loss communications logic, configuration management, validation procedures, autopilot modes, abort logic and mission checklist procedures. 3 days up to 30 students
