Accessibility

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is available in Lot A (located on Martin Luther King Drive), Lot C (located underground in Lakeside Center) and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place parking garage.

Accessible Restrooms

All restroom facilities in McCormick Place are accessible and are compliant with ADA standards.

Accessible Entrances and Exits

McCormick Place has four designated drop-off points for taxis and cars that provide ramped curbs and automatic entry doors:

  • Lakeside Center (East Building) - Drop off at Gate 37 (car drop off at Gate 31); pick up at Gate 30 
  • North Building - Drop off or pick up at Gate 22
  • South Building - Drop off or pick up at Gate 4
  • West Building - Drop off or pick up at Gate 40

Please note that AUVSI XPONENTIAL is taking place in the South Building.

Elevators

Elevators are located near the main entrances in all McCormick Place buildings, and near the main exhibit halls on all levels.

Service Animals

Trained service animals are welcome at McCormick Place.

Accommodations + Hotel Shuttle Service

AUVSI has reserved room blocks in various hotels found here: Hotel + Travel. For attendees staying in the hotel block, complimentary shuttle service will be provided from the following hotels:

The wristband is valid for the entire show and must be worn to use this service.

 

Dining Options at the Convention Center

Food carts offering a range of options will be open on the XPO Hall floor from 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday, and 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM on Thursday. For attendees’ convenience, the convention center offers retail cafes in the lobbies.

FedEx Office is located on Level 2.5 of the Grand Concourse in the South Building. It is open Monday Through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

 

Internet and WiFi

Complimentary WiFi is available in all lobbies of McCormick Place and in the meeting rooms.

 

Parking

McCormick Place provides access to three parking lots.

  • Lot A – 2301 South Prairie Avenue, Chicago, IL 60616 (8' height clearance) is a six level garage with 2,100 parking spaces located on Martin Luther King Drive, adjacent to the West Building. Covered walkways from Lot A leading directly into McCormick Place, Wintrust Arena, Marriott Marquis and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel also provide added convenience. The parking rate is $23 for up to 16 hours and $36 from 16 to 24 hours.* There are no in-and-out privileges.Overnight parking is available in Lot A only. Lost tickets will pay the $36 (overnight) fee per day.
  • Lot B – 3050 South Moe Drive, Chicago, IL 60616 (also known as 31st Street Lot) is an outdoor surface parking lot located at 31st Street near Lake Shore Drive South and Moe Drive. It holds over 1,800 vehicles.The parking rate is a flat fee of $15 per day with no in-and-out privileges.* This parking lot is open throughout event hours. Overnight parking is not available.
  • Lot C – Fort Dearborn Drive, Chicago, IL 60616 (6'4" height clearance) is an underground garage with 1,900 parking spaces and is located on Ft. Dearborn Drive, adjacent to the Lakeside Center. The parking rate is a flat fee of $23 per day with no in-and-out privileges.* This parking lot is open throughout event hours. Overnight parking is not available.

What is the dress code?
The dress code for XPONENTIAL 2019 is business casual. Remember, there will be lots of walking and standing on concrete floors so make sure to wear comfortable footwear.

 

Is food allowed on the show floor?
Yes, food is allowed on the show floor. Exhibitors wishing to order food for their booth, must do so through Savor; an order form can be found in the Service Order Kit (SOK).

Food will also be available for purchase from the numerous outlets available in the convention center lobby, as well as in the XPO Hall.
