Included in our laser sensing portfolio is our WASP-200 LRF -- a laser rangefinder that reaches 250 meters, compatible with UART, CAN & RS-232 (Piccolo compatible), and Pixhawk with IP67 available. For demonstration and sale in the booth this year. Ask about our LIDAR surveying prototype and our low capacitance InGaAs detector die - another LIDAR component. Attollo also designs & manufactures IR sensors in the SWIR, MWIR and LWIR bands. Our SWIR camera is a 640x512 with a 5µm pixel including range gating for soldier worn laser sensing and SWIR imaging. Our MWIR 640x512 with a 5µm pixel is in development – a perfect technology enabling MWIR into 5” gimbals.

    Attollo Engineering Introduces the WASP-200 Laser Rangefinder

    Camarillo, CA – 3 April 2019 – Attollo Engineering, a privately held company focused on design and manufacture of Laser Sensing and Infrared Imaging devices, is introducing the WASP-200 LRF, a laser rangefinder with varied configurations compatible with the Collins Aerospace Piccolo (CAN Bus and RS-232), and Pixhawk drivers.  The IP67 and base device have range out to 250 meters with 1cm resolution and 10cm accuracy.  Customers are using it in precision agriculture applications and as a proximity to ground sensor onboard small or large unmanned air vehicles (UAV).  Attollo will be demonstrating the device at AUVSI in Chicago 30 April – 2 May 2019 – Booth 2604.

    About Attollo Engineering

    Attollo Engineering was started in 2012 by Dr. Michael MacDougal who quickly brought onto the team Dr. Jon Geske and Dr. Andrew Hood.  All three come from the company Dr. Geske started in 2006, Aerius Photonics, which was sold to FLIR in 2011.  Attollo focus is on laser sensing and infrared imaging components and systems.  Included in the laser sensing are components sold into LIDAR systems for the Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS).
