The AUVSI Startup Showdown is a competition for early-stage, disruptive companies who are creating, innovating or enhancing unmanned systems technologies and applications.
The finalists have each created a video presentation to pitch their business, which will be available for On-Demand viewing throughout XPONENTIAL. We invite you to attend the Startup Showdown Panel, which will feature the finalists and judges speaking about their experiences in the Startup world. At the end of the panel, the 2020 Startup Showdown winner will be announced. Please join us to celebrate the hard work and achievements of the final contestants!
STARTUP SHOWDOWN FINALISTS:
Civ Robotics (Israel) develops fast, reliable and autonomous marking solutions on UAVs and UGVs for the construction industry.
By digitalizing and automating construction layout, Civ Robotics reduces the risk of project delays while reducing project costs. Civ Robotics is already working with landmark general contractors in Israel, Europe, Asia and USA.
Mesodyne builds generators that fit in the palm of your hand. They are completely silent, have no moving parts, operate on any fuel, and have 10X the energy density of lithium ion batteries. Developed at MIT, incubated at ANL, and accelerated by the Air Force Techstars, Mesodyne’s patented technology enables small electric UAVs to fly 10X longer.
Pierce Aerospace focuses on the practical and robust integration of Remote ID services into the UAS ecosystem. As an industry leader, Pierce Aerospace serves on the Unmanned Aircraft Safety Team, ASTM F38 UAS Remote ID Committee, and the FAA’s Drone Advisory Committee Task Groups for Remote ID and Waivers. Funds from the US Air Force and the State of Indiana support the development of Pierce Aerospace’s Flight Portal ID suite of Remote ID technologies. Flight Portal ID was nominated as Indiana’s Innovation of the Year by Techpoint and was awarded first place in Remote ID technology by AUVSI’s Xcellence’s Awards. Pierce Aerospace is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, The Racing Capital of the World.
Sentient Blue develops hybrid microturbine power systems for UAVs as a direct replacement for lithium polymer batteries.
They are capable of increasing flight times by a factor of 5. Sentient Blue won the GENIUS NY 2019 and $1 million investment in 2019. Their first product, the Mãui 8500 hybrid unit, is on display at this year’s AUVSI Xponential.
