Profile
A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Lambert earned a BS degree in Physics from Providence College and a MS degree in Undersea Acoustics Systems Technology from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He is a graduate of the Advanced and Executive Program Management Courses at the Defense Systems Management College and the Executive Management Program at Penn State University.
Mr. Lambert has more than 30 years experience in unmanned systems, acquisition program management, and naval operations. His active duty Navy experience includes managing Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) programs as UUV Program Manager (PMS 403) and Commanding Officer of USS BATFISH. He joined SAIC in 2003 where he was the Vice President for Unmanned Systems and Navy ISR. From May 2008 to November 2009, he was the Senior Director for Tactical Systems at Aurora Flight Sciences in Manassas, VA. From November 2009 to June 2011, he was an Assistant Vice President at Alion Science and Technology in Washington, DC. He is currently the President and CEO of Unmanned Systems Research and Consulting, LLC, the Senior Vice President of Nexutech and a part time Research Associate at the University of Central Florida’s Institute for Simulation and Training.
As a volunteer, he served on the AUVSI Board of Directors from 2003 to 2013, serving as their President and Chairman of the Board from August 2009 to August 2011. He served as ASTM International’s Chairman of Committee F-41 on Unmanned Maritime Vehicle Systems where his committee developed and published four Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Systems Standard Guides in nine months, earning him the 2007 ASTM International/Standards Engineering Society Robert J. Painter Award.
