Profile
Sara Blackmer is a Tech Executive delivering wins for tech-focused companies in the defense and commercial markets. She has extensive experience in leadership, teambuilding, creative problem solving, executive business development, customer relationships, and corporate strategy. Sara was recognized by business Magazine’s Powered by Women feature, and named to Crain’s Notable Women in Tech.
Sara has been author and speaker of multiple technical sessions at industry events, as well as a guest speaker for University academic sessions. She was invited to deliver the commencement address at Oakland University.
Sara has served on numerous boards of advisors/directors including the Robotics Technology Consortium Executive Board of Directors, the National Advanced Mobility Consortium Executive Board of Directors, Oakland University School of Engineering and Computer Science Executive Board of Advisors, University of Michigan M-TRAC Transportation Executive Board, Intel Corporation Board of Advisors, and the NVIDIA Corporation Advisory Council.
Sara is a decorated veteran. She retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer.
Sara earned her BSE Cum Laude in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan, and her MBA and MS, Global Supply Chain Management, from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. She has also attended and earned certifications for multiple post-graduate leadership and professional courses.
