Profile
Having dedicated his career to working to accelerate the deployment of advanced technologies, AUVSI’s Director of Engagement Michael Wilbur oversees all enrollment and engagement activities for the association, working to align each member’s market goals with their participation at AUVSI. Responsible for the association’s strategic marketing and branding, Wilbur also leads AUVSI’s many promotional activities and campaigns, and helps raise awareness of unmanned systems and robotics technology to ensure strong positioning of the association and its members in the transportation industry.
Before his current role as Director of Engagement, Wilbur served as AUVSI’s Director of Membership, where his duties included coordinating activities and programming for the 35+ AUVSI chapters, as well as corporations and professionals from more than 60 countries involved in business, government and academia. Under Wilbur’s leadership, AUVSI’s membership team won the ASAE 2019 Gold Circle Award for Membership Restructuring Campaign.
Prior to joining AUVSI in 2016, Wilbur was the Membership Manager for the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA). He also spent five years at the Electric Drive Transport Association (EDTA) serving in various operational and membership management roles.
