Captain Kenneth Voiret is the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) Commanding Officer of the Air Operations Division which consists of the Airport Unit and Aviation Unit.
One of his responsibilities is overseeing the day-to-day law enforcement operations at Palm Beach International Airport. Capt. Voiret has been serving the citizens of Palm Beach County for over 30 years. The Aviation Unit has air assets that help all local, state and federal agencies. Since its inception in 2015, Captain Voiret has helped develop and implement a full time UAV unit. This unit has successfully filed and received their COA for BVLOS, launching a UAV from an airfield, operational altitudes of 2500 feet and operation of UAV’s over 55 lbs. To date, the unit has flown over 2500 hours of operational and training UAV flight using various UAC airframes. Captain Voiret is also involved with the Critical Infrastructure section of the South Florida Regional Domestic Security Task Force (SFRDSTF).
