    We design custom cables incorporating dissimilar components for maximum functionality in the same cross-sectional area....

    • In many applications including audio/video, medical equipment, instrumentation and communications there are numerous interconnection demands for a single device. These could include power supply and grounding, signal, coax, twisted pair, strength members, vent tubes, individually shielded components, Litz wire, etc. New England Wire Technologies specializes in developing custom hybrid cable solutions to meet the wide range of requirements for these complex applications.
  • Custom Litz Wire
    We have extensive experience with Litz wire manufactured from custom materials and insulations....

    • Litz wire consists of a number of individually insulated magnet wires twisted or braided into a uniform pattern with the primary benefit of reducing AC losses in high frequency windings. New England Wire Technologies offers unlimited Litz wire constructions in all 8 type variations with multiple types of insulation to meet agency and/or specific customer voltage withstand requirements.
  • Type 8 Litz wire
    Custom shaped, compacted Litz wire...

    • Rectangular compacted Type 8 Litz wire constructions are designed with copper densities from 60 to 75 percent of the cable’s cross sectional area. This type Litz wire is particularly suited for high frequency motor, generator, transformer and inverter windings where limited space necessitates a conductor with excellent fill factor and copper density.  New England has pioneered the development of Type 8 Litz wire designs including square configurations as well as rectangular constructions

  • Extended Flex-Life Cables
    Design options for extreme flexibility and long-term flex life...

    • Wire and cable is often required to withstand mechanical motion and maintain useable properties. New England Wire Technologies has considerable experience in design and materials to extend flex life in standard and rigorous use situations. We use fine gauge stranding to survive a larger number of bending cycles without suffering fatigue, high tensile strength copper alloys to increase longevity with little impact to conductivity, and careful plastic selection for abrasion resistance while also maintaining flexibility and flex life.
