  • Representatives from the Department of Defense (DoD) innovation programs and MassRobotics startups recently gathered for our 2nd annual Robotics in Defense signature event sponsored by MITRE. The purpose of the event was to foster dialog between the DoD and the robotics tech startup community with the following goals:

    • Expose DoD innovation organizations, military, and civilians to robotics, both the technologies deployed today and cutting edge, new emerging technologies.

    • Engage robotics startups with firsthand awareness of DoD missions using robotics, current challenges and needs, and opportunities to engage with the appropriate DoD programs.

  • Automation and acceleration – these are two primary themes that emerged in a recent conversation about the positive ways the robotics industry is impacting the global pandemic.

    MassRobotics invited a group of more than 45 senior executives from global companies like FedEx, Cowen and Company, Mitsubishi, Honeywell, Autodesk, Veolia and swissnex Boston, to discuss existing and new robotics products and solutions that are helping to overcome the challenges that the pandemic has imposed upon all of us.

  • We started Robot Stories as a way to highlight the many well-known robotics companies that were born right here in Massachusetts. . It is amazing how many of the people and companies that are turning this cutting-edge technology into solutions to meet everyday challenges are right in our backyard (see our interactive map of the MA Robotics ecosystem here). We also felt what better way to learn about the founder’s stories than by having local high school students interview them.
