With AutoTRap implemented onboard your unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), operators can search and automatically detect targets of interest in real-time.

    Your platform can use AutoTRap’s target library to support real-time awareness for autonomous behavior, in‑mission operations, or command and control.

    Onboard ATR capabilities on UUVs offer significant advantages in underwater operations: Reduced launch and recovery times result from target detections sent to command and control stations in real-time while the UUV is submerged. Costs are reduced and operation times are optimized, enabling coverage of a wider search area. More accurate target classification can also occur when operators re-direct UUVs to further examine targets based on real-time detections.

  • Based on over five years of work for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Office of Naval Research (ONR), and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), our Maritime Smart Camera enhances data quality with embedded intelligence.

    We apply state-of-the-art sensor processing and deep learning to onboard autonomy that enables unmanned systems to see, understand, and respond to their operating environment. Our Maritime Smart Camera gives operators affordable situational awareness for small unmanned surface vessels (USVs) without active sensors, such as radar.

    The Maritime Smart Camera's ship detection works in different operating conditions and on different target sizes, including small and distant targets. It mitigates watchstander burden on manned ships by automating some lookout functions. It also uses powerful classification models to confirm detection accuracy and determine target types to support COLREGS compliance.
