Adam Shayevitz is a reputed Strategic Sourcing expert with over 30 years’ experience. After graduate school, he began working at Mascon, a multinational trading company and built a business unit focusing on China and Taiwan contract manufacturing. He joined Parker Hannifin's, Chomerics Division as the Global Sourcing Manager. Promoted to Business Unit Manager and then Division Manager for Global Sourcing. After 14 years at Parker he moved on to Rethink Robotics as Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager installing the Baxter robots' global supply. He left Rethink to found Strategic Sourcing Dynamics LLC, working with startups and global corporations optimizing supplier selection and client/supplier DFMA teams.
Adam received a BA Economics from Skidmore College and an MBA International Business from Babson. His widely-read article “Top Ten Reasons Robotics Startups Fail” was published in Robotics Business Review. Adam is an expert speaker at events such as The Robotics and AI Summit, Venture Cafe Robotics Connect, and Advanced R&D Sourcing in Pharma.
