Wesley Dye is the Special Projects Manager of Switch WORKS, Switch Founder and CEO Rob Roy’s personal research and development team. In his role, Wesley works closely with Rob on an array of innovative technologies including Autonomous Systems, 5G, private-cellular networks, IoT and embedded systems. Switch WORKS provides insights through the exploration and development of emerging technology solutions to Switch’s current and new customers.
Wesley joined Switch in 2017, and has notably served as the program manager for an FAA BAA Contract, participated in the FAA UPP and NASA TCL4 operations as well as deployed private cellular, LoRa, and traditional IP networks. He continuously collaborates with the other divisions of Switch on an array of projects, ranging from the strategic to the technical.
Prior to joining Switch, Wesley served as a Marine infantryman with 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines and the 2nd Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team and has deployed to Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Afghanistan. Wesley also served as Military Policeman on temporary duty and 2015 he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant after 5 years of service to his country.
Wesley has worked in a wide range of other industries that continues to inform him in his current role. This experience includes hospitality, manufacturing, security, logistics, construction, and alternative fuels production. He also serves as the Director of Development for the AUVSI Nevada Chapter.
Wesley is an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and conservationist. When not enjoying time with family, he can be found exploring and enjoying nature.
