EVENT OVERVIEW
The DRONRESPONDERS Global Public Safety UAS Summit presented by AIRT debuted an exciting new format featuring two separate tracks over four-days of programming designed to educate and prepare first responder UAS program managers and remote pilots at every experience level for public safety UAS operations.
Unlike most training courses where a narrow perspective is offered from a small instructor cadre, DRONERESPONDERS brought together the best and brightest public safety UAS professionals from around the country to teach attendees how they built and manage their organization’s drone program. Attendees heard actual case studies and explored after-action reviews of how various departments have used unmanned systems to help save lives and protect property.
Each day of the DRONERESPONDERS Summit highlighted the following content themes:
- Monday, August 16 — Major Cities Day (limited to jurisdictions with a population of 500,000 or greater)
- Tuesday, August 17 — Law Enforcement Day
- Wednesday, August 18 — Fire Rescue / EMS Day
- Thursday, August 19 — Emergency Management Day
The DRONRESPONDERS Global Public Safety UAS Summit provided two separate programing tracks that offered content for public safety and emergency services drone professionals at every experience level, from beginner to advanced. Summit attendees had the ability to transition back and forth between tracks as desired to experience the content modules that are most valuable for their specific public safety UAS operations.

Track B (Bravo) — Public Safety UAS Operations and Tactics
Summit Track B (Bravo) featured specific use cases presented by UAS program managers and remote pilots from public safety agencies that have used drones to make positive impacts within their jurisdiction. Presenters highlighted a specific challenge and how they deployed sUAS to help solve a problem. The presentation was followed by a group discussion between the presenters and the audience to explore the case in greater detail with the objective of providing an immersive learning experience for attendees.
In addition, DRONERESPONDERS attendees experienced the best of what AUVSI XPONENTIAL has to offer including all keynote sessions, networking events, and the massive exhibition floor showcasing the latest unmanned systems and related technology.
