Our community is familiar with examples of algorithmic bias including facial recognition systems frequently misidentify people of color and computer vision systems for self-driving cars having more difficulty recognizing pedestrians with darker skin tones. From HR to Design we must examine our internal and external commitments to diversity and inclusion, with company culture and implicit bias training going beyond the diversity statement on our websites. Who is in the house building these technologies and laying the groundwork to change company culture? This keynote panel will feature leaders and advocates of diversity, inclusion, and bias recognition at organizations within our industry.
