John Eberhardt has over 25 years of experience in solution architecture, systems engineering, data science, and analytics, and has managed teams of scientists and engineers to rapidly create customer-centered solutions in the aviation, defense, healthcare, security, and biotechnology sectors. John has been the Managing Director of ATA Aviation, LLC since the company was formed in 2024 after serving as Chief Technology Officer at ATA,LLC. Based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, ATA Aviation is building the public digital backbone of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), supporting the exchange of next-generation navigational and safety data. He is one of the founders of the Virginia Flight Information Exchange (VA-FIX) and led ATA’s efforts to become a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) onboarded Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) Service Supplier (USS). With three patents, seven patent applications, and over 50 publications and invited speaking engagements, John is a thought leader in advanced analytics with experience in machine learning, statistical algorithms, and user interface design for decision support in aviation, healthcare, defense, and logistics.
