Welcome to KVH, Our Innovation Enables a Mobile World

KVH makes high-performance gyros & inertial systems for navigation, stabilization, positioning, pointing & guidance systems for autonomous and manned platforms. Based in the USA, KVH’s fiber optic gyro (FOG)-based sensors are integrated into a broad range of demanding autonomous and manned commercial and military applications. KVH field-proven high-performance sensors are non-ITAR, application agnostic, performing in all environments and weather conditions. As they are solid state, they are resistant to shock and vibration. KVH introduced the photonic-based gyro in 2019, and it’s the heart of its new P-series high-performance inertial measurement units (IMUs). KVH continues to enhance its product line with PIC technology.

KVH’s premier IMU, the P-1775 has PIC technology for improved reliability and survivability. Available with 10g and 30g high-end accelerometers, the P-1775 has outstanding resistance to shock and vibration for demanding autonomous applications....

  • KVH's P-1775 IMU is ideal for the most demanding autonomous platforms, including autonomous ground vehicles, unmanned aircraft, autonomous material movers, and robots, as well as pipeline inspection/maintenance, precision pointing, positioning, and stabilization for high-speed gimbals. The P-1775 has outstanding resistance to shock and vibration and improved orientation and attitude stability for challenging applications, autonomous and manned.
  • GEO-FOG 3D Dual INS
KVH’s GEO•FOG 3D Dual INS integrates KVH's high-performance FOG-based IMU with a pressure sensor, 3-axis magnetometer, and dual antenna RTK GNSS receiver, delivering accurate navigation and control to a wide variety of autonomous and manned platforms....

  • The KVH GEO-FOG 3D Dual INS is a precision commercial off-the-shelf INS featuring two GNSS antennas on a fixed RTK baseline to offer increased heading, pitch, and roll accuracy for static and dynamic applications where a single antenna system can be problematic. This dual antenna INS is the best choice for systems requiring heading at start-up or in low dynamic conditions. The high-performance GEO•FOG 3D Dual filter is more intelligent than the typical Kalman filter used in many inertial solutions, because it is capable of extracting significantly more information from the IMU core processor by using a cutting-edge artificial intelligence algorithm. Designed for demanding navigation and control applications, the GEO•FOG 3D Dual has performance monitoring and instability protections to ensure stable and reliable data.
  • DSP-1760 FOG
KVH's navigation-grade DSP-1760 FOG provides unmatched versatility to meet the demands of the most challenging design projects thanks to its combination of 1, 2, or 3 axes of the world’s smallest precision fiber optic gyros (FOGs)....

  • Compact Single- or Multi-KVH’s DSP-1760 Fiber Optic Gyros (FOGs) combine single- or multi-axes of the world’s smallest high performance FOGs within easy-to-integrate housings, or unhoused for OEM configurations. The DSP-1760 FOG offers exceptional performance in bias stability, scale factor, and angle random walk, and is available in nine configurations to solve the most challenging design projects. The DSP-1760 FOG is ideal for air, land, or maritime stabilization and pointing applications. Due to its versatility, and accurate, reliable output, it can also be utilized in navigation, guidance, and control systems. Designed for Flexibility and Performance Available in single- or multi-axis gyro configurations, the DSP-1760 FOG is a high bandwidth, extremely low noise sensor. Using KVH’s exclusive E•Core ThinFiber, the world’s smallest D-shaped optical fiber, the DSP-1760 FOG offers customers a choice of two interfaces: a Micro-D or a circular connector. In addition, the DSP-1760 FOG integrates magnetic shielding within the gyro housing, providing improved performance in systems with problematic magnetic environments.
  • P-1750 Photonic IMU
The new P-1750 IMU has KVH’s breakthrough PIC technology for improved reliability and repeatability and a choice of upgraded 10g and 30g accelerometers for reduced lateral drift in dead reckoning applications and improved orientation stability....
