Description

One of the key attributes of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is its ability to combine and build upon a variety of existing, developing, and new technologies and operations within aviation. Rather than happening in a vacuum, AAM draws from - and expands on - both UAS and traditional GA activities.  In that spirit, Michael Robbins and Anna Dietrich will lead a conversation to explore how AUVSI can best serve the AAM community with our advocacy work at the local, state, tribal, federal, and international levels. Michael and Anna will preview some of AUVSI's initial strategic planning around AAM advocacy, including building a roadmap for autonomy and adapting the safety continuum concept, and solicit feedback as well as new ideas and areas of potential emphasis from the community.  The goal of this session is to guide AUVSI's advocacy work in the AAM space, build on existing momentum, and lay the foundations for a future AAM-focused event that leverages AUVSI's thought leadership and convening power to support the entire AAM community.
