Ben Stinnett

Profile

Ben Stinnett serves as Mechanical Engineering Lead at autonomous truck company Embark. In his role, he leads Embark’s 25 person mechanical engineering team, overseeing truck design and platform development. Ben played a critical role in developing the Embark Universal Interface, Embark’s interoperable self-driving stack that works across truck OEM platforms.

Ben has deep experience in mechanical engineering. Prior to Embark, Ben worked at Lyft Level 5, where he led vehicle integration efforts. He also worked at self-driving golf cart startup Auro (backed by Y-Combinator), which would go on to be acquired by RideCell.

Ben is a US military veteran, and completed honorable service as a US Marine before receiving a mechanical engineering degree from Arizona State University.
