Profile

Wiley began his federal career in 1994, serving on the staff of Congressman John L. Mica (FL), where he worked for more than 22 years, culminating with six years as the Chief of Staff. Prior to joining USDOT and FMCSA, he also served as the Director of Oversight and Investigations for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. After 2 years at the FMCSA, Wiley left to begin working for Secretary Elaine L. Chao as a Senior Policy Advisor with a portfolio containing; FMCSA, NHTSA, FTA, ODAPC, Autonomous Vehicles, Impaired Driving and as the USDOT Representative on the White House COVID 19 Supply Chain Task Force. In August of 2020, he was named Deputy Administrator of the FMCSA and ran the Agency until January 2021 when he retired from Federal service. In April 2021, Wiley began work at Plus, a leader in the development of autonomous truck technology, where he is the Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy.
