The TriSonica Sphere Wind Flux Sensor delivers precise vertical wind measurements with faster sampling rates (up to 100 Hz) making it ideal for UAS-based atmospheric flux and turbulence research. The TriSonica Mini is the world’s smallest and lightest 3D sonic anemometer--perfect for UAS use.
The TriSonica Sphere Wind Flux Sensor delivers precise vertical wind measurements with faster sampling rates (up to 100 Hz) making it ideal for UAS-based atmospheric flux and turbulence research. The TriSonica Sphere is a compact (measurement path of just 35 mm), lightweight (225 grams), low velocity anemometer. With its unique patent pending design and open path geometry the Sphere provides the least possible distortion of the wind field, especially vertical turbulence. The TriSonica Sphere effectively and accurately captures measurements of all three dimensions (U, V and W) of air flow. Its all-aluminum construction enhances the devices’ durability while maintaining its SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) advantage over competitive sensors. This makes the TriSonica Sphere ideal for UAS/UAV deployments. Developed in conjunction with BlueHalo and specifically engineered for deployment on their Atmospheric Characterization Payload (ACP) UAS sensor suite which ensures proper sensor spacing away from propellers for accurate low Earth atmospheric measurements.
The TriSonica Mini Wind & Weather Sensor is the world’s smallest and lightest 3D sonic anemometer. Providing wind speed, direction, temperature, humidity, pressure, tilt, and compass data, the TriSonica Mini is compact, light, and efficient, making it perfect for UAS integration, while the fact it has no moving parts eliminates maintenance issues enables it to be stationed on fixed or portable towers for real-time 3-dimensional air flow measurements.
The TriSonica Mini Wind & Weather Sensor is a compact (measurement path of just 35 mm), lightweight (less than 50 grams), low velocity anemometer. It is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, yet it is a powerful and highly accurate tool engineered for atmospheric monitoring, weather reporting, and ecosystem research.
Its pipe-mount base accommodates any 1/2” DN15 Schedule 10 pipe. To protect components and streamline your installation, wiring runs through the interior of the pipe using this configuration.
