Regulators Delivering the Goods? UAS/AAM Legal, Policy & Operational Updates
    8:40 – 9:30 AM

In the past two years, the Federal Aviation Administration has promulgated rules and policies on remote identification, operations over people and moving vehicles and mulled over beyond visual line of sight operations. This panel of experts will discuss the latest updates in the context of real-world drone delivery operations to provide insights into how, as a practical matter, these developments have impacted the UAS and AAM industries.

If You Build It, They Will Come - Infrastructure for Advanced Air Mobility
    9:30 – 10:20 AM

Investors have poured billions of dollars into various advanced air mobility (AAM) concepts - including electric vertical take off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft - to support a wide range of use from cargo delivery, air taxis and more. Laws and standards have been promulgated to support this emerging tech. But the rubber meets the road on the ground, in addition to the air. How far have we come in building out the infrastructure and related regulations and standards needed to support AAM …and what do we still need to do? This panel of experts will hammer out these details for you.

Legal Sea Lanes for Sea-Faring Autonomous Vehicles
    10:35 – 11:25 AM

Domestic and international waters are swimming with maritime autonomous surface ships (MASS), uncrewed underwater vehicles (UUVs) and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). What “rules” apply to these vehicles? This unparalleled panel of experts will help you navigate the sea lanes for surface and sub subsurface autonomous vehicles.

    Lunch
    11:25 AM – 12:00 PM

Show Me the Money! Tapping Into Opportunities to Work with the Government
    12:00 – 12:50 PM

Getting a concept from paper to prototype takes not only hard work, but funds to back it. Often the government has requirements that only commercial companies can fulfill - especially in the case of emerging technologies. This panel of experts will discuss a variety of statutes, laws, and policies you need to know to successfully partner with the government, including where to find these opportunities in the first place and how to best position your business for success.

Securing Critical Assets Against The Careless, Clueless and Criminal
    12:50 – 1:40 PM

The security of multi-domain autonomous systems remains a key factor in public acceptance. This panel of security experts will discuss how to protect your people and facilities, in both the physical and cyber realms, from those who would do them harm. Topics covered will include practical and legal considerations in counter-UAS, cybersecurity and data security.

Safeguarding Privacy in the Age of Advanced Tech
    1:40 – 2:30 PM

On a daily basis, drones, robots and even our own computers and phones collect our private information. Many companies leverage the power of artificial intelligence to analyze that information. In response, several states have passed legislation on a wide range of topics from drone-centric Peeping Tom laws to consumer privacy laws to biometrics and facial recognition bans. This panel of privacy experts will help you safeguard yourself, your employees and your organizations, by understanding how to operate within the laws that your business practices could trigger.

    Break
    2:30 – 2:50 PM

Who Owns That Thought? Emerging Tech IP 101
    2:50 – 3:40 PM

As so many great ideas continue to spring forth in emerging tech, so do lawsuits claiming that someone has copied another’s design, published one’s imagery or otherwise copied someone else’s ideas. This panel of intellectual property (IP) experts will walk you through what actually constitutes IP, how you can protect your IP and what you can do if someone else encroaches on it.

Commercial Drones on the Battlefield - Implications to the Law of War
    3:40 – 4:30 PM

While small uncrewed aircraft systems (sUAS) have appeared on battlefields before, something palpably different has taken place in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In an unprecedented grassroots effort, outside of military channels, global commercial drone manufacturers have either worked directly with NATO, Ukrainian defense officials or nonprofits to put commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and do-it-yourself hobby drones in the hands of military and volunteer forces. This panel explores the potentially profound implications of this use of COTS sUAS to the law of war… and to the security of our homeland.
