Media Registration

It is our pleasure to welcome working members of the media to cover XPONENTIAL. To maintain quality news coverage, XPONENTIAL requires media representatives to verify their roles. We have developed the following criteria for a complimentary media badge. If you do not meet these criteria and wish to attend the event, we invite you to register as an attendee.

Digital Content Creators Media Registration

TO QUALIFY FOR A MEDIA BADGE:

The applicant should demonstrate they are working media and regularly cover the uncrewed systems industry and its vertical markets or are a general assignment, business or technology reporter assigned to cover the uncrewed systems industry.

Editorial Only: Media representatives must belong to the editorial staff to receive a media badge.

The following media representatives are welcome to attend the show but must register for an XPO Hall, Full Conference or VIP Pass: advertising sales representatives, commercial producers, marketing staff, promotion companies, public relations, social media and advertising/branding agencies, filmmakers, and photographers for hire.

Personal websites or hobby/enthusiast and personal blogs do not qualify for a media badge.

A history of being registered at previous AUVSI or MDNA events does not guarantee approval or waive the accreditation requirement. Travel to the show does not guarantee admittance.

VETTING CRITERIA FOR PENDING MEDIA BADGE BY CATEGORY:

All media registrations are reviewed by Event Management prior to the show. Anyone who applies for a media badge must meet the following criteria:

FULL-TIME EDITORIAL STAFF:

Please provide one (1) of the following credentials for review and consideration by Event Management:

  • A scanned copy or link to the news outlet’s masthead indicating your name and title and editorial role.
  • A business card from the news outlet reflecting your editorial role.
  • Media badge indicating your affiliation with the news outlet that was issued by a federal, state, or local government or agency.

FREELANCE AND CONTRIBUTING WRITERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS:

  • A scanned copy or link to original, bylined editorial coverage within the last three months of the uncrewed systems industry.
  • An email or scan of letter from the news outlet’s editor or producer stating that you have been assigned to represent the news organization in an editorial capacity.

EXHIBITOR WEBSITES AND BLOGS:

Exhibitors gathering content for their corporate websites and blogs will not be classified as media and will not receive media badges in addition to or in place of exhibitor badges. If taking photos of an exhibitor’s booth, equipment, technology, staff, etc., to accompany blog content, permission from booth staff is required.

RADIO AND TV REPORTERS AND CREWS:

Please provide one (1) of the following acceptable credentials for review and consideration by Event Management:

  • A business card from the station or network reflecting your editorial role.
  • An email or scanned letter from the news director or assignment editor stating that you have been assigned to represent the news organization in an editorial capacity.
  • Media badge indicating your affiliation with the news outlet that was issued by a federal, state, or local government or agency.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

Members of the press will need to show their outlet covers the uncrewed systems industry.

Self-promoting blogs and blogs that merely aggregate third-party content will not be considered for a media badge. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest sites, forums, crowd sourcing sites and user groups are not considered media credentials.

With a media badge, freelance and contributing writers and photographers are not permitted to solicit their services at XPONENTIAL.

ONSITE MEDIA REGISTRATION:

If you choose to register onsite, please bring printed copies of the qualification criteria described above. The following onsite registrants will not be provided media badges:

  • Freelancers, writers, and photographers without a specific editorial assignment.
  • Blog writers/owners who do not provide the defined site analytics or have not been covering the uncrewed systems industry for at least one (1) year. Hobby/enthusiast and personal blogs do not qualify as media.
  • Requests without the required credentials described above.
  • Individuals who applied online and were denied a media badge.

RIGHT OF REFUSAL:

Event Management reserves the right to deny media badges at their sole discretion. Event Management also reserves the right to modify media qualification credentials at any time. Misconduct or misrepresentation of position and/or publication/news organization will bar you and your organization from all future events.
