XPONENTIAL 2022 Call for Papers

THEME: Autonomy Meets Society

Opens: September 17

Closes: October 22 EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 31

It’s that time of the year again: the XPONENTIAL 2022 call for presentations is now open! We are resolute in our goal of Assured Autonomy – but in 2022, we will take a deeper dive into the intersection between unmanned and autonomous systems and society at large. So, what is Assured Autonomy and what do we mean by “intersection” and “society”?

Like any technology, unmanned and autonomous systems need to prove themselves as safe and practical options that can repeatedly perform the operations they are designed for before they can be seamlessly integrated across society at scale. If not, we risk undermining the creativity of innovators who are working every day to develop this disruptive technology by introducing new solutions to an unprepared market of enterprise customers and consumers.

At XPONENTIAL 2021, Brian Wynne, President and CEO at AUVSI, outlined the significance of industry cohesion. Industry cohesion will allow us to engage with regulators and the public and communicate the value and impact of deploying these technologies. For operations to scale, we must collectively work to identify the transformative benefit that these technologies will have on individuals, businesses, industries, and economies.

With this in mind, we are seeking your expertise for next year’s program. Share your knowledge and unique perspective on how to address the critical issues that our industry is currently facing and provide insights and solutions illustrating intersections between technology and society where we’ve seen positive results or where work needs to be done.

Our industry will only go as far as you will take it, so lend your vision, experience, research, and successes to shape the future.
