Michael Neale

Advantage Consulting and Engineering Services (ACES), Inc.

Profile

Following an extensive career in the RF communications industry, in a variety of commercial and R and D environments, Michael Neale currently provides both industry and government with consultancy and engineering services in the field of Unmanned Aircraft C2 Link standards and spectrum development.

Michael has supported RTCA Special Committee 203 and 228 for over 15 years both in his current role and while he was the RF Design Manager at General Atomics – Aeronautical Systems. In addition, in his current role, Michael also supports the USA at ICAO RPAS and ITU-R meetings. At ICAO Michael cochairs the RPAS C2 Link Working Group who are developing ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) for RPAS C2 Links. At ITU-R Michael has contributed to the allocation of C Band spectrum for use by UAS and is currently working to enable UAS to use spectrum allocated to the Fixed Satellite Service in Ku and Ka Bands.
