Dr. Sandeep Sovani is a seasoned tech executive, product and go-to-market leader, and a technical expert on automotive and autonomous vehicles technology and engineering simulation. During his 20+ years tenure at Ansys (the world’s largest, engineering simulation software company, NASDAQ: ANSS), Dr. Sovani served as the company’s Global Director for the Automotive Industry and as a Director of Product Strategy and Product Management for ADAS and Autonomous Vehicles. He headed Ansys Autonomy, a comprehensive tool chain for safety-oriented design, development, and validation of ADAS and autonomous vehicles. Dr. Sovani also served as the director for all simulation related aspects of the Indy Autonomous Challenge. Prior to Ansys, Dr. Sovani lead a team of application engineers at the engineering software company, Fluent Inc, and as a senior research engineer at Tata Motors.
Dr. Sovani holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He has authored more than 40 papers, articles, reports and has delivered numerous invited lectures at academic and industry conferences. He is the recipient of Lloyd Withrow Distinguished Speaker Award from SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers). He is a member of SAE International, Sigma Xi, MENSA International, and other distinguished societies.
