Description

We are entering the third revolution of airspace–Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). AAM includes the development of electric powered aircraft, uncrewed systems, urban air mobility and so much more. In order for AAM to be safely integrated into the National Airspace System (NAS), we also have to modernize the NAS. Modernization will happen through various stakeholders, management of spectrum use, development of supporting infrastructure and regulating multiple third-party service providers requires vast inter-agency collaboration. Modernization of the NAS requires a Whole-of-Government effort including AFWERX, DoD, OUSD, FAA, and NASA.
