Description

Whether using a drone to conduct operations in construction, oil and gas, utilities, or surveying / mapping – remote pilots with the appropriate knowledge and skills mitigate risks and associated liabilities for their organization and industry.This workshop will explore appropriate planning, procedures and documentation, safety management and reporting, and demonstrated skills to ensure appropriate proficiencies in commercial flight operations. Each element of the workshop aligns to aviation and local/state regulations, as well as industry standards to support remote pilots and organizations in conducting safe, responsible and competent operations.

Audience: UAS operators, service providers, and enterprise users (oil/gas, agriculture, mining, surveying, construction, inspections)

Learning Objectives: Provide high-level training/education that parallels to TOP 1, 2, 3, and functional areas. This should leave attendees with awareness of more advanced and appropriate training and the importance of Trusted Operator program protocols.

Agenda: Starting with the objective, the workshop will step through each portion of mission planning including location, data collection, airspace, weather, ground control, visual observers, communications, safety, emergency procedures, etc.
