GENERAL INFORMATION:

In 2021, the Florida Legislator passed Senate Bill 44 which modified Florida Statutes 934.50, among other things, to require the Florida Department of Management Services to publish a list of approved drone manufacturers whose drones may be purchases or otherwise acquired for use by Florida governmental agencies. This list was published on the cusp of 2022, and with immediate effect caused significant confusion among Florida public safety agencies using drones for a wide variety of missions.

The DRONERESPONDERS Florida Public Safety Conclave will be a two-day series of discussions, events, and direct conversations designed to provide first responders with essential information needed to build and maintain successful UAS programs that comply with Florida law and FAA regulations.

The DRONERESPONDERS Conclave is the first of two public safety drone content programs produced by AIRT and AUVSI for XPONENTIAL 2022 in Orlando.
