LIMITED SPACE: UAS operation is a perishable skill. The workshop will focus on the need for reoccurring cost-efficient documented training for UAS operations in Public Safety. The session will be centered around identifying the need for a regular cadence of sustainment training and attendees will gain knowledge and expertise utilizing a UAS simulator in this hands-on experience.

The workshop will be for 12-24 attendees at a time.  The room will be set up with 12 laptop computers with a UAS controller at each computer. The attendees will pair up and sit in front of a computer. The session will begin with a facilitated discussion utilizing a 30-minute PowerPoint slide deck identifying the session goal and associated learning objectives. After a question and answer period, the attendees will turn to their laptops for an explanation of how to use the simulator followed by a hands-on learning experience utilizing the UAS simulator with the hand controller.
