Michael Robbins is AUVSI’s Chief Advocacy Officer, leading all government relations and strategic communication initiatives and serving on the executive leadership team. Under his leadership at AUVSI, where he joined in 2020, AUVSI has experienced significant membership growth, launched new programs including the Trusted Cyber Program, and achieved meaningful results on policy and communications initiatives.

Prior to joining AUVSI, Michael worked with AUVSI as a consultant on UAS and cUAS issues through the firm he co-founded in 2015, Intrepid, where he served as Chief Operating officer. Prior to starting Intrepid, Michael served as Managing Director of Government and Public Affairs at the Air Line Pilot Association, International (ALPA), where he oversaw three departments and 75 staff, and delivered significant results for the association on policy, media, safety, and branding goals. Before joining ALPA in 2011, Michael spent a decade in the office of the late Congressman John D. Dingell (Michigan), where he served as the Chief of Staff.

Michael serves on the XPONENTIAL Board of Managers, as well as the board of the Greater Washington Aviation Open and the National Advanced Mobility Consortium, and the advisory board of the Plant Based Foods Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree from Georgetown University and is an Intelligence Officer in the United States Navy Reserve.
