GH-4: Electric rotorcraft with over 6 hours of flight time
The GH-4: Electric fuel cell powered aircraft developed by Unmanned-Aerospace. It is a gyrocopter aircraft, with the ability to VTOL and hover. without any of the complexities associated with a helicopter, such as: -Complex mechanical linkages -Weight associated with mechanism -Frequent maintenance -Short flight time ADVANTAGES: -There is no power required to drive the rotor in forward flight. It is entirely in autorotation mode, consuming no energy. -If the thruster engines fail, it glides down slowly and safely, because it is already in autorotation mode. -During forward flight (gyro mode), the booster batteries get recharged by the fuel cell. -Less complicated than a helicopter, with 100% of the flight envelope. -It only has two moving surfaces.
