Description

IoT and cloud processing are being replaced by AI and sensor fusion pipeline. This enables true computing at the edge or “Edge Sensing”, combining different types of sensors to obtain massive amounts of information and process it in real-time, without having to go to the cloud. Autonomy can now adapt to complex rules instantaneously. It is no longer enough to think in terms of a predefined list of tasks to be accomplished in an automated fashion. Autonomy becomes part of mainstream daily operations and tasks regardless of environmental conditions. The panel discusses how this new world of autonomy is being adopted for flight, ground or maritime applications, from delivery and location services to the support of public safety, infrastructure management or advanced robotics.
